What are you going to do with one second?

Stéphanie: Hey, what’s this? Is it your mom’s?
Stéphane: No, that’s the one-second time machine I told you about. I finished it. For you. You wanna try it?
Stéphanie: What are you going to do with one second?
Stéphane: Well, it just adds up, and life is too precious. So, basically, you put this here [He puts a headphone on her head] Can you hear me?
Stéphanie: Yeah.
Stéphane: So… just one second. This is for the past, and this is for the future, okay? So let’s try some for the past. You have to press this button, okay?
[She presses the button]
Stéphane: Let’s try some for the past.
[She presses the button again]
Stéphane: Let’s try some for the past.
Stéphanie: Hey, it’s working! Amazing scientific breakthrough. [presses the button] –entific breakthrough. [She goes for another push, he stops her]
Stéphane: No, wait, wait. Let’s save some for the future.
[He changes the direction of the handle. She presses the button. He suddenly hugs her.]
Stéphanie: Hey, hey, what are you-
Stéphane: Let me just- [hugs her again]
Stéphanie: Why did you do it twice?
Stéphane: The first time was the future and the second time was just the present.
